DTA’s Advocacy Led Initiatives support individuals and organizations engaged in animal welfare campaigns and projects by providing advisory guidance and collaborative support services.

When advocates need help isolating a problem, understanding law and policy, and navigating bureaucracy, we empower them with knowledge and strategy to maximize their efforts. Our Advocacy Led Initiatives prioritize opportunities to approach complex animal welfare causes at a local level and contribute to broader conversations. When an animal or species’ well-being is at stake, we tell their story and support efforts to ensure their interests are represented.

Once a project is identified, DTA works with the client to create a strategic plan to address the issues presented. For some this means a single deliverable such as policy memorandum, support letters, and/or draft legislation. For others we play a more active role in developing action items, ongoing strategy, communications, and other necessities that may arise.
