DTA Welcome's Summer Interns!

DTA is excited to welcome 10 interns to our Virtual Internship Advocacy Program! Our Summer 2021 Program kicked off on June 15th and we well spend the next seven weeks exploring topics related to animal and evnrionmental law and policy.

After a highly competitive application process, the ten selected students come from 3 countries and 8 different law schools. Each student has a unique background and we know the diversity of this group will foster compelling and productive conversations.

The culmination of the Program is a Pitch Competition where each student will develop and present their idea for a project they are passionate about and and put their advocacy skills to the test. We anticipate a great showing in this competition, with projects ranging from proposed legislation, legal action, a community camapign, or research study. Prizes for the pitch competition will be awarded for first place, second place, and an audience favorite.
